Fishing has been a part of my life since my family moved to Florida from Kentucky when I was 5 years old. We lived on a remote stretch of the Kissimmee River and fished every day.
When I moved to Texas years later, there was less time for fishing, but the desire was still there. After taking up the sport again, I became interested in bamboo fly rods. I made my first bamboo rod in 2006 after attending the Southern Rodmakers Gathering near Mountain Home Arkansas. I was hooked!
I make fine bamboo fly, spin and casting rods that reflect the craftsmanship and tradition of quality bamboo rod making. These rods are made to be fished, but also to be passed from generation to generation. My rods are designed for you, with where you fish, what you fish for, and your casting style in mind. It’s more than just a rod!
